How can I join?
Come along to our Tuesday drinks night at the Original Oak from 7pm, or email the Club Captain, Vanessa Thomas, directly (see committee page for contact info).
I've always wanted to ride but haven't because lessons are too expensive, how much are lessons with the LUHRC?
We offer a discounted rate of £14 for an hour. With lessons elsewhere costing £20+ for half an hour, that's quite a bargain!
Do you cater for total beginners?
Yes absolutely! We welcome people of all abilites. Half-hour lessons for complete beginners are just £10.
I want to be on a team, how do I try out?
See our team page or contact Clare Sellors or Lucy Ibbotson for more info.
Do you have a facebook group?
Yes, see our links page.
Do you do club clothing?
Yes we have Club and Team hoodies available through UniKit. See our links page for their website.
I don't have my own transport, how do I get to lessons?
We try to group rides so that there is at least one driver, but if there are no drivers you will go to the lesson by train and taxi. It costs £1.60 return with a Young Persons Railcard and around £1.20 each way for the taxi. Timings and meeting points are coordinated by our Lesson Organiser.
I don't have any equipment, does the club have any I can use?
Yes we can provide you with riding hats and boots, which is all you should need.
